Rep. Loretta Sanchez's Holiday Card Features Gretzky Her Beloved Late Cat

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Rep. Loretta Sanchez, D-Calif., said her late, beloved cat is making one last appearance on her annual holiday card in the form of a Christmas tree ornament."

I commend Rep. Sanchez for treating her constituents with respect, and releasing a Holiday card instead of a Christmas card. America is a culturally and religiously diverse country, and the tradition of politicians sending out Christmas cards to their constituents should end.

I also praise Rep. Sanchez for always including an image of her beloved cat in her holiday cards. Animals are people also, and any pet owner worth his salt will include his pooch or his cat in his homemade holiday card.

Gretzky, named after the hall of fame hockey star, made his final holiday card appearance in the form of a Christmas ornament bearing his cute face.

As long as Rep. Sanchez continues to respect people and animals, she will enjoy a long career in Congress.
