It's OK In New York For Pet Lovers To Have Their Ashes Buried In Pet Cemeteries

By Robert Paul Reyes

"New York state`s Cemetery Board has decided people can have their ashes buried in pet cemeteries alongside their non-human companions after all."

Sometimes I dream of moving to a deserted island where I will be free from the base desires and ill-temper of my fellow human beings. But I`m not a millionaire, and I am doomed to live with my own species.

Thank goodness that in death we don`t have to be interred with our own kind, pet owners have the option, at least in New York, to be buried in pet cemeteries alongside their beloved non-human companions.

Human beings are venial, petty and malicious, dogs are loving, loyal and kind. It makes perfect sense for an animal lover to desire to be buried with his faithful companions.

It`s not animal lovers who are nuts, it`s people who don`t understand the strong bond between a pet owner and his beloved animal who aren`t right. So don`t bother sending your email...
