Fans Hate On Kelly Clarkson For Her Twitter Endorsement Of Ron Paul

By Robert Paul Reyes

"After endorsing GOP candidate Ron Paul on Twitter, former `American Idol` winner Kelly Clarkson is taking heat from some fans. Clarkson had previously written on Twitter, `I love Ron Paul. I liked him a lot during the last republican nomination and no one gave him a chance. If he wins the nomination for the Republican party in 2012 he`s got my vote.`"

Politicians are loathsome creatures, and very few persons publicly declare their love for a candidate. It usually comes down to voting for the least objectionable candidate. Kelly Clarkson wasn`t content to say that she supported Ron Paul, she emphatically stated she "loved" the fringe candidate.

There is nothing loveable about Ron Paul, the oddball libertarian has written some of the most despicable statements about h[o]mos[e]xuals, Jews, and African Americans. It`s no surprise that Paul has garnered the support of many racist organizations, and it`s also no surprise that he has yet to disavow their support.

As soon as Clarkson posted her tweet in support of Ron Paul, she was deluged with tweets condemning her, and calling her every name in the book.

After Clarkson`s fans expressed their outrage at her support of Paul, she defended herself by claiming that she was unaware of Paul`s controversial statements. But Clarkson has yet to retract her support of Ron Paul, and I hope that her fans won`t let up until she acknowledges she made a huge error.

Clarkson should have researched Paul`s background and his stand on the issues before she publicly supported him. As a pop star the original American Idol has a platform to reach millions, she should think carefully before she speaks or tweets.

Clarkson won`t be embraced by her fans until she makes an abject apology and renounces her support of Ron Paul. If she doesn`t her g[a]y, black and Jewish fans will turn away from her in droves.
