Sarah Palin Furious At Alaska Airlines' Decision To Drop Prayer Cards

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Sarah Palin spoke out Thurdsay against Alaska Airlines` decision to stop including prayer cards with its meal trays. The airline announced the move a day earlier, ending the tradition that lasted for 30 years.

`Some customers were comforted by the cards and some didn`t feel religion was appropriate on the plane and preferred not to receive one,` Alaska Airlines spokeswoman Bobbie Egan told the Associated Press."

The Huffington Post Chris Gentilviso

You can always count on Sarah Palin to speak out on issues that matter to her evangelical base. To some elements of the religious right having Gideon Bibles in hotel rooms and prayer cards with airline meal trays is more important than the economy.

I`m afraid of flying and I`d rather not have a prayer card included with my meal, it makes it seem too much like a prisoner`s last meal. Instead of a prayer card, I`d rather have a small card listing the qualifications and experience of the pilot and co-pilot.

A prayer card would come in handy only if I`m sitting next to Sarah Palin, perhaps a soothing verse from the Psalms would help me put up with Palin`s babbling. If I sat next to the former beauty queen I`d probably end up killing myself or kissing her smack on the lips to get her to shut the hell up.

If Palin needs a cue card to pray, maybe she can just scribble the Lord`s prayer on the palm of her hand.

Alaska Airlines should make prayer cards available for their religious customers for the nominal fee of five bucks.
