Jammu and Kashmir Police Arrest Three Militants in North Kashmir

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police claimed that they have arrested three militants in this North Kashmir, Baramulla district on Monday. In a statement sent to Agence India Press, police claimed that they have arrested Mushtaq Ahmad Malik son of Abdul Rahim resident of Doompora, Dolatpora affiliated with `Tehreeq-ul-Mujahidin.` One AK 47 rifle, one AK 47 magazine and eight rounds were recovered from an orchard in the rear of his house," the statement said. Police has registered a case in this regard. In another similar incident, the police claimed that the Pattan Police and 29 RR arrested two Lashkar-e-Toiba suspected militant namely Shahnawaz Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rashid and Zahoor Ahmad Lone son of Sonullah residents of Palhallan, Pattan. Police claimed that, a Pistol, one Pistol magazine and three rounds were recovered from Shahnawaz Ahmad Bhat and two grenades were recovered from Zahoor Ahmad Lone.
