NASCAR is a very unique sport with unique circumstances.  It is the only organization or league that holds its most important race, its Super Bowl, at the beginning of the season.  It is also the second most watched sport in America after the NFL.

However, what happened at the Super Bowl of NASCAR this past Sunday cemented the uniqueness of it.  After several rain delays that pushed the race back almost 2 days and after shocking and at times comical events that flooded the race in ways that it is those events, and not the winner, that will be remembered years from now, experts and fans agree that all this can only be better for the sport.

We will see if it is true and if whatever momentum on fan interest carries over to the next race in Phoenix this coming Sunday.  We will be watching and commenting, on An Extra Moment with Kenny R.
