Snooki, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton And The Dumbing Down Of America
"We`re at a place where the idea of being `elite` is somehow considered a negative. Whether it`s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a f**king idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you`re rewarded significantly. And incuriousness has become cool. It`s celebrated. It doesn`t make sense to me."
Mad Men`s Jon Hamm (Source PerezHilton.Com)
Regardless of the source of this quote, I certainly agree with the sentiments expressed by Hamm
Hamm isn`t sharing a brilliant revelation, to say that Paris Hilton and KIM Kardashian are simpletons is like saying that poop stinks.
But when we see bimbos like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan celebrated in spite of, or maybe because of their ignorance, somebody needs to point out that there`s something rotten in Denmark.
Snooki of `Jersey Shore` fame is infamous for her party girl lifestyle, in the reality show she`s depicted as a self-absorbed young woman who spends all her time having sex with the nearest available warm body, shopping for clothes, drinking, and generally making a fool of herself. Snooki recently announced that she`s pregnant, the birth of her baby will be the highlight of the year for many of her fans. There is as much excitement surrounded Snooki`s pregnancy as there is in the first-born son of a royal couple. Considering Snooki`s IQ and the prodigious amount of alcohol that she consumes, we should all be relieved if her baby isn`t born mentally retarded. But on the bright side, if the baby is intellectually-challenged that won`t prevent him or her from making millions as a celeb.
If you are watching `Jersey Shore` or buying magazines with the likes of Britney Spears, Charlie Sheen or Lil` Kim gracing the cover, you are contributing to the dumbing down of our once great nation.
I write about Spears, Lohan and Kardashin not to celebrate them, but to expose them as imbeciles. Let`s kick these bimbos to the curb, where they belong.
