Gianinc's Dynamic Health Tips: How to Prevent Cancer
There are certain preventative measures that can be taken to prevent both breast and prostate cancer. These are the two most common types of cancer that is found in the United States today.
Heredity is important. Know your family history. Where a positive history is present one has to be far more vigilant.
Avoid excessive saturated fat.
Two heaping tablespoons of organic ground flaxseeds daily. The Omega 3 fatty acids present in the seeds are the active compounds
Vitamin D 5000 IU daily with a blood level after 3 months
Daily exercise of a minimum of 30 minutes, walking is sufficient.
Drink 5-6 cups of green tea daily
If the disease has developed empower yourself, using Guided Imagery or Medical hypnosis, to assist in your own treatment. If in remission guided imagery helps to prevent re-occurrence of the cancer.
Limit alcohol intake especially with regard to breast cancer. If the disease is active avoid all alcoholic beverages. Females with a family history of breast cancer should limit their intake to one drink per week, preferably red wine. (See previous health tip on red wine)
Recent reported research by the Lancet Medical Journal, England`s most prestigious, showed that study subjects who took low dose Aspirin for 5 years or more resulted in a 37% reduction in cancer rates. (Caution! Do not begin this therapy before consulting with your healthcare provider).
