Whitney Houston Memorabilia Auctioned
"Whitney Houston souvenirs are in demand.
A bustier worn on stage by her fetched $18,750 at an auction Saturday in Beverly Hills of memorabilia from the late pop star`s career.
The sale of 13 items brought in a total of $80,187 from bidders in the gallery, on the phone and online."
A drag queen and the ghost of J.Edgar Hoover might be interested in owning a bustier or an evening gown once worn by the pop diva, but the rest of us are thinking: Boring.
How about an auction that really captures the essence of the pop legend? I`m talking of course of a sale of the pop star`s drug related items.
A lot more folks would be interested in owning the tub where Whitney drowned; I`d just hope that the person with the winning bid would respect her memory by snorting coke instead of doing crack while taking a bath.
Houston wore dentures since she was still in her thirties; her teeth were in awful condition thanks to a poor diet and her drug abuse. I would hope that a civic-minded teacher would buy the crooner`s dentures and put them on her desk with the caption: This is your mouth on drugs!
Houston`s legacy was her music and her profligate drug use, I can`t afford to buy her drug-related items, but thank goodness I can afford her terrific albums.
