Dude Steals Crane And Leads Cops On A Chase, A Really Slow Chase
|
|
"The California Highway Patrol said a crane thief (Jerry Don Clonce) who led police on a short chase knocked down 10 power poles while attempting to flee. Clonce was charged with stealing a vehicle, possession of stolen property, assault with a deadly weapon, felony evading, destroying public utilities and felony vandalism. He was taken to the Sacramento County Jail." UPI It`s never a good idea to steal a huge piece of machinery that sticks out like a sore thumb it`s not like you can blend it with traffic when you are driving a crane. Once Clonce realized the cops were on his tail, he should have pulled over immediately, thereby avoiding a slew of charges in addition to grand theft. Clonce wasn`t a teen on the mother of all joyrides, he`s a 54-year-old man who should have known better. This may be a humorous story, but Clone inconvenienced hundreds of people and it`s a miracle he didn`t hurt anybody. I hope the judge throws the book at this moron Photo Credit: Wikipedia Follow Robert Paul Reyes on Twitter: http://twitter.com/robertpaulreyes
