Judge Orders Violent Criminal To Be Released On Bail & To Write A Book Report

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A San Francisco man accused of trying to sell a grenade launcher was ordered released on bond on the condition he read each day and write book reports.

Otis Mobley Jr., 23, was indicted last month alongside cousin Khusar Mobley, 18, and Dmarce Hutcherson, 19, on charges of conspiracy to commit robbery, assault on a federal officer, robbery and a weapons violation."

I was born and raised in San Francisco; I think it`s the greatest city in the world -- just don`t expect common sense from city officials.

U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers allowed this violent criminal to be released on bond with the stipulation that he wear an ankle monitor and spend an hour each day reading books and writing book reports.

If Mobley has been accused of selling firecrackers or a sling shot, it would have made sense to release him on bail, but homeboy was trying to sell a grenade launcher to an undercover federal officer.

I`m surprised Judge Rogers didn`t assign a tutor to help Mobley learn how to read, a ghostwriter to write the book report for him, and a massage therapist to give him a one hour massage every day.

While Mobley is waiting for his trial he will be staying with his grandmother, the poor woman will have her hands full.

My bet is that Mobley will be declared indigent, and you and I will pay for the defense of this gentleman and scholar.
