Survey: Brits Would Rather Travel With A Pet Than Family Member

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A third of British pet owners would rather go away with their furry friend than their immediate family Forty seven per cent miss their pet the most when away on holiday."

I`m sure Americans aren`t different from the Brits, we love our pooches and cats more than our spouses and children.

I love to take a long drive with my pooch riding shotgun with his head sticking out the window, enjoying my companionship, and the sheer joy of being alive.

Would I rather take kids on a road trip, with them shouting "Are we there yet?" or "I need to take a leak" every couple of minutes? Are you bonkers?

Even if I were married to a supermodel, I`d rather put her in the trunk and have my faithful pooch ride in the front passenger seat.

I don`t care if I travel by automobile, ship or plane, I`d rather have a pooch by my side, than a family member.
