NPP Chief Writes to Sonia, Advani, and the Leftists about India`s Next President

By SOP newswire

Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, National Panthers Party and Member, National Integration Council dashed urgent letters to the national leadership urging for a consensus for the election of the next President of India. In his letters addressed to Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, MP, President, Indian National Congress, Mr. L.K. Advani, MP, Senior Leader, BJP, Mr. Prakash Karat, Secretary-General-CPI(M), Mr.  S. Sudharkar Reddy, Secretary-General-CPI, the NPP Chief has strongly argued that the largest democracy, that is India, should elect a President on the basis of his credibility and morality in public life, past performance and his worth and not birth (not birth), his image in public life and other factors.

To Smt. Sonia Gandhi the letter said that, "Wisdom lies in daring` and Your Excellency commands both. It is an opportunity for Your Excellency to name a person who has capacity, will and clean image in all respects to head the Nation. This is Dr. Karan Singh who happened to be a senior Congressman besides. Head of the State may not be identified with his colour, religion, region or caste as he/she represents the entire nation and all sections of the society. His nomination shall give a boost to all schools of thought having faith in democracy, secularism, socialism and non-violence."

In his letter to Shri L.K. Advani, the NPP Chief said that,

"It is an opportunity for the BJP, the second largest party in the country to propose Dr. Karan Singh as next President of India who has capacity, will and clean image in all respects to head the Nation. Head of the State may not be identified with his colour, religion, region or caste as he/she represents the entire nation and all sections of the society. His nomination shall give a boost to all schools of thought having faith in democracy, secularism, socialism, rule of law and non-violence."

In another letter addressed to Shri Prakash Karat and Shri S. Sudhakar Reddy, the NPP Supremo said that, "The leftist`s movement has been opposed to the colonial, communal and sectarian systems and so is the leftist political movement in India. No doubt, the depressed classes deserve every moral, political and logistic support and assistance to shape their present and future status of life in accordance with the principles of equity, equality and natural justice. This goal of socialistic standards cannot be built by installing or decorating a single person to any status how whosoever it may be the communist movement in the world has never support a divisive policy that creates conflict or social ripples in the harmonious society. Elevating somebody from a depressed or a particular caste or group or class does not support the socialist philosophy or ethics."

J&K National Panthers Party a day before has passed a unanimous resolution in National Integration Camp held at Sudhmahadev from 3rd to 5th June, 2012 which was attended by more than 50,000 activists. The Panthers Legislature Party has moved the resolution in the Working Committee which was presided by Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, NPP. The resolution has urged on the national and regional political parties to make a unanimous choice for the next President of India and the Panthers Party proposed the name of Dr. Karan Singh. Resolution further marked that by electing Dr. Karan Singh as President of India the National and Regional level political parties shall give an extraordinary message to the people of the world abroad and to the people of India to strengthen and promote National Integration from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Dr. Karan Singh is a symbol of moral values, honesty and India`s spiritual power. He is free from any accusation regarding finance, morality and thus stands a cleanest man on the top of the board in the political history of power in 60 years. He was the only prince who surrendered his `PRIVY PURSE`, joined Indian National Congress which stood for Secularism, Socialism and Democracy. The Panthers Party resolution claimed that in the conflict-torn world Dr. Karan Singh as a President of India can play a leading role to carry India`s message of peace, complete disarmament to make the world last longer in peace and dignity of all nations.

Prof. Bhim Singh told the media this afternoon at New Delhi at the Panthers Party Headquarters that he shall be contacting the regional party leaders within 24 hours in this regard appealing to them to consider the post of President above party politics. He urged the political leaders not to politicize the election of the President for raising their electoral bank.
