Swear In Public? Pay $20 Fine In Middleboro, Massachusetts

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Massachusetts town passed a $20 fine for swearing in public, but the police chief said officers do not have a list of words to work from.

Middleboro Police Chief Bruce Gates said it would be up to the individual officers to use their discretion."

If a refined gentleman is walking down the street and he steps on dog poop it`s perfectly understandable if he utters an epithet.

But if teenagers are having a loud conversation peppered with profanity, that`s not acceptable, and they should be fined.

If I were a police officer in Middleboro, I would fine kids who who begin each sentence with "like" and anybody over thirty who uses the word "dude." Like, dude don`t you agree with me?

The town also passed a fine for smoking marijuana in public -- now that`s going to fu***** far!
