Hero Pooch Saves Toddler From Drowning In Swimming Pool

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Michigan woman said her 4-year-old black Labrador retriever leaped to the rescue when her 14-month-old son fell into a swimming pool.

Patricia Drauch of Marcellus Township said she was doing yard work Sunday when her son, Stanley, plunged into the pool.

Under no circumstances, not even for a few seconds, should a toddler be left unattended by a pool. Drauch should have been charged with criminal negligence, it`s a miracle that baby Stanley didn`t die.

Bear the dog, the only one with common sense, put his back underneath Stanley`s back to keep him from sinking any farther

The bouncing baby boy was taken to the hospital, and released the same day.

This incident confirms my belief that dogs have more sense than the average person. The mom piddles around the yard while her baby, with mush for brains, falls into the pool; if it weren`t for the brave and smart pooch this would have ended in disaster.
