Snoop Dogg Now Known As Snoop Lion: Snoop Turns From Rap To Reggae
"`I want to bury Snoop Dogg.`
That`s not the bitter pronouncement of a disgruntled music critic. Those words come straight from Snoop Dogg, who has changed his name to Snoop Lion.
Snoop, 40, finally explained the sudden shift during a confab Monday night. He says he was hit with a thunderbolt from above during a visit to a Rastafarian temple in Jamaica.
Will the top dogg in rap become the lion king of reggae music? Only time will tell, but if Pat Boone once released a heavy metal album, then certainly a true artist like Snoop should be allowed to record a reggae album.
The Apostle Paul had an epiphany on the Damascus Road, it`s no surprise that Snoop`s saw the light in a nation that loves ganja. It`s hilarious that Snoop converted from Christianity to a religion where smoking weed is a sacrament.
As a reggae artist Snoop promises not to write any songs that glorify violence, the famous rapper considers himself the peace-loving reincarnation of Bob Marley.
I hope gangsta rappers will put down their guns, light up their bongs, and follow in the footsteps of one of the greatest rappers of all time.
