Repentant Burglar Returns Loot, Along With Letter Of Apology

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Canadian family who didn`t know their home had been burglarized not only got the items back, but a letter of apology and $50, police said.

The next morning, a plastic bag was left on the front porch containing the electronics, and a computer-printed letter of apology and $50 to repair the screen.

`It was nothing personal and I didn`t go through any of your personal belongings,, the letter said. `I have been having a very hard time financially lately and I made the worst mistake of my life.`"

The burglar is truly repentant, he took a big risk by coming back to the house he burgled, and returning the stolen items, and leaving a letter of apology and $50 to repair the damage he caused.

The homeowners and the cops should forgive him, the authorities are wasting taxpayer money by pursing an investigation. I don`t think this dude is ever again going to rob anyone.

Times are hard and we all make mistakes; there but for the grace of God go I.
