On Wednesday, during Olympic festivities in Victoria Park in east London, Mayor Boris Johnson strapped on a harness and a bright blue hard hat while preparing to sail down a zip line above a crowd gathering to watch the Olympic events on the big screen.
With Union Jack Flags in hand, Mayor Johnson zipped across the crowd on a 350-yard zip line as the crowd cheered him on.
Rather than achieving a Gold " medal flight, the future prime minister hopeful came to a halt halfway across the line and was stuck dangling over the crowd. However, the bold Brit kept his sense of humor shouting to the crowd, Get me a ladder, get me a rope! " He continued by saying, "I think the brakes got stuck".
After hanging there for five minutes, staffers retrieved the Mayor by connecting a rope and dragging him the rest of the way. A spokesperson for the Mayor told reporters he"remained unbowed" by the incident, adding, "The judges will rightly be marking him down for artistic impression."
