Three Libraries In Hamden, Connecticut Infested With Bed Bugs

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Connecticut exterminator said all three of a town`s library branches have been given the all-clear after bed bugs were discovered in recently returned books.

Charlie Mastroberti of Quest Pest Control in Avon said the bugs were in books recently returned to the Hamden Public Library`s central branch. He used a beagle named Ellie to track down and take care of the pests, WCBS-AM, New York, reported Thursday."

When a patron of a library takes a book home, he doesn`t don latex gloves when he reads it. Some folks have a penchant for reading a book while they are sitting on the throne, others like to peruse books while they are eating, leaving evidence of what they ate on the books.

The typical library book is covered with feces, food, dog drool, and God only knows what else. Only an uncouth Barbarian would check out a book from a library, those of us who are civilized will view books on a Kindle.

These libraries in Connecticut that were infested with bed bugs should be a wake-up call: Leave libraries for the homeless who have nowhere else to go, and buy a damn E-Reader.

Once again man`s best friend came to the rescue, and a beagle took care of the pests.
