Neil Diamond's 'Sweet Caroline' Dropped From Penn State's Play List At Football Games

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Don`t expect Neil Diamond`s `Sweet Caroline` to be played during Penn State football games anytime soon.

According to the Altoona Mirror, the school decided not to play the fan favorite during games this year due to the Jerry Sandusky scandal.

The paper reports that university officials felt that the `touching you, touching me` lyrics would be inappropriate to sing at this time."

The prior regime at Penn State allowed a notorious pedophile, Jerry Sandusky, to have unhindered access to the campus. They protected Sandusky from the authorities to the extent that he felt free to bring young boys to the university`s athletic facilities where he raped them.

Now the current administration feels that forbidding "Sweet Caroline" from being played during Penn State football games will somehow make amends?

Only a pervert will think of children when he hears the lyrics "touching you, touching me", everybody else will be struck by the innocent lyrics, especially compared to today`s rap lyrics.

What Penn State should do is express remorse by cancelling this year`s football games.

Penn State has gone from enabling a pedophile, and protecting him from prosecution, to diving down the rabbit hole.
