Religious Man Crushed By Falling Crucifix! Amen!

By Robert Paul Reyes

"David Jimenez believed his devotion to a crucifix was responsible for his wife being cured of cancer. Well, the crucifix fell on him, crushing one of his legs.

And as CBS 2`s John Slattery reported Friday, the leg had to be amputated.

Jimenez sees tragic irony in losing his leg to a crucifix he had prayed to. The crucifix had been outside the Church of St. Patrick in Newburgh. For months, the 45-year-old pizza worker would stop and pray at the crucifix, that his wife would be cured of ovarian cancer."

Because of his devotion to the cross, Jimenez received permission to clean it on a regular basis. This incident is almost enough to make an atheist believe in God, a moron who attributes the healing of his wife from cancer to an inanimate object deserves to be crushed by that same object.

Jimenez doesn`t have that much faith in the crucifix or the God that it represents; he is trusting in an attorney, not in God for restitution. Before Jimenez could say, " Oh, Jesus, My leg is crushed,"  he speed-dialed his lawyer.

There is nothing logical about faith, if Jimenez blessed God for curing his wife of cancer, he should curse God for allowing that crucifix to fall on him.

Keep in mind that Jimenez is suing the archdiocese, truly a picture of a man of faith. The parish priest is probably sorry that the crucifix didn`t crush this greedy man`s skull.

The church collected $7,000 for Jimenez, but that wasn`t enough to satisfy this deeply religious man`s greed.
