November 5th is Guy Fawkes Day

By SOP newswire2

"Remember, remember the Fifth of November..."

It is that time of year again. Today is November 5, Guy Fawkes Day.

According to Wikipedia, "Guy Fawkes was born in 1570 in Stonegate, York. He was the second of four children born to Edward Fawkes, a proctor and an advocate of the consistory court at York and his wife, Edith. Guy Fawkes (13 April 1570 " 31 January 1606), also known as Guido Fawkes, the name he adopted while fighting for the Spanish in the Low Countries, was a member of a group of provincial English Catholics who planned the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605."

Guy Fawkes Day is the day that the English remember one of their most notorious villains.

On this day should we expect to see a bigger than usual rise in successful hacking attacks on some of the most popular well known sites and property?

Happy Guy Fawkes Day

Remember, remember the Fifth of November,

The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.

Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, `twas his intent

To blow up the King and Parli`ment.
Three-score barrels of powder below
To prove old England`s overthrow;
By God`s mercy he was catch`d
With a dark lantern and burning match.
Hulloa boys, Hulloa boys, let the bells ring.
Hulloa boys, hulloa boys, God save the King!
