"Taylor Swift is to perform on `Dick Clark`s New Year`s Rockin` Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2013` in New York`s Times Square, ABC said Friday.
The network`s Dec. 31 programming will feature a tribute to music television icon Dick Clark, who died in April at age 82."

Dick Clark is in the Great Bandstand in the Sky; I think it`s freaking time that his name was dropped from the title of the show.
The baton has been passed to Ryan Seacrest, and I bet he wants to club someone with it whenever anyone mentions Dick Clark.
Speaking of the dead, the creatively dead Taylor Swift will perform on the program, which guarantees I won`t watch it.
Swift has an irritating habit of basing her songs on her romantic relationships and on her interactions with celebs.
I hope that Jenny McCarthy, who will be emceeing the festivities, will ring in the New Year by giving Swift a good solid kick to the butt. Give girlfriend material for a new song that will unfortunately climb the charts all the way to the top.
