'Cleaning Fairy' Burglar Sentenced To 20 Hours Of Community Service

By Robert Paul Reyes

"The woman dubbed the  `Cleaning Fairy` was sentenced for breaking into a house and leaving a bill for tidying it up, will not serve any jail time.

On Monday, Judge Peter J. Corrigan sentenced Susan Warren, 53, of Elyria, to one year of probation and 20 hours of community service.

If Warren does not complete her community service, she will be fined $150."

If a burglar breaks into my home brandishing a knife and a big bag to put all my belongings in, I will blast him straight to hell. But if a woman breaks into my home brandishing a broom and a dustpan, she`s welcome to tidy up my place. I would even pay her the hefty bill of $75 that she left behind at the last home she broke into and cleaned.

Judge Corrigan exercised common sense and compassion, Warren doesn`t belong behind bars. Her community service should entail cleaning the homes of elderly people, and she should be allowed to keep any tips that come her way.

Let`s hope that Warren doesn`t violate her probation that would mean a year in prison. It`s not like Warren was cleaning up, as in making a lot of money, in her criminal career.
