Subway Employee Fired Over Refusing To Give Customer Ketchup

By Robert Paul Reyes

"An employee at a Subway restaurant in Florida says he was fired after arguing with a customer about putting ketchup on a sandwich.

The ketchup fight occurred Tuesday at a Subway inside a Walmart store in Orlando, WFTV reported. Luis Martinez said he asked for a Philly cheese steak sandwich with his usual accompaniments: "American cheese, onions and ketchup.`

Lawrence Ordone, who was working behind the counter, said he was unable to give Martinez what he wanted.

"He wants ketchup on the Philly cheese steak and I have never put -- we don`t even have ketchup at Subway -- I`ve never put ketchup on anybody`s sandwich," he said.` "

Luis Martinez isn`t a chef in a 4-star restaurant; he`s a freakin` cashier in a Subway restaurant inside a Walmart. If a customer requests ketchup with a Philly cheese steak sandwich, it`s his job to load down that sucker with as much ketchup as it will hold.

The customer is always right, and as long as the customer`s request isn`t illegal the fast food clerk should have done his best to satisfy him.

It doesn`t even matter if Subway doesn`t carry ketchup, dude your restaurant is inside a Walmart, you can find ketchup somewhere.

In an ideal world the customer should have left the Subway restaurant a satisfied customer with Philly Cheese and ketchup dribbling down his chin.

The customer called the cops, but by the time they showed up, they angry employee was gone, he was fired the next day.
