Sick With The Flu? Try The Influenza Sorbet!
"A New York ice cream company unveiled a new treat it says is specially formulated for flu sufferers.
The Influenza Sorbet is a combination of lemon, spicy cayenne pepper and a healthy dose of Maker`s Mark bourbon whiskey that will clear the sinuses and soothe scratchy throats.
Jeni Britton Bauer, owner of Jeni`s Splendid Ice Creams, told the New York Post her sorbet, derived from an old family remedy, has been getting rave reviews."
Ice cream always hits the spot, regardless if you are sick with the flu or in the best of health. But Jeni needs to come up with a catchier name than "The Influenza Sorbet", how about "The Soothing Sorbet?"
The special sorbet contains a healthy dose of bourbon whiskey, hmm, when it comes to dealing with the flu, just give me the whiskey straight.
Jeni claims her sorbet has been getting rave reviews, from ice cream lovers I`m sure, not physicians.
I commend Jeni for her marketing savvy, might as well make a few bucks from this awful flu.
