Fox News Kicks Sarah Palin To The Curb

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Fox News Channel is parting ways with former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, ending her three-year tenure as a contributor on the network.

Palin signed to deliver commentary on Fox in January 2010, reportedly for $1 million a year. It was a coup for both sides at the time; the former Alaska governor was a little more than a year removed from her attention-getting run for the vice presidency and was considered one of the leading contenders for the 2012 presidential nomination."

It should come as no surprise to anyone that Fox News and Sarah Palin parted ways. In recent months the former beauty queen rarely appeared on the conservative network. Palin`s last appearance on Fox News was Dec. 19 on Greta Van Susteren`s show.

Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes reportedly boasted, "I hired Sarah Palin because she was hot and got ratings." This statement begs the question, "Who was more irresponsibe, John McCain or Roger Ailes?"

The ageing reality show star is no longer quite so hot, and Fox News stable of hot female news anchors garner more ratings and generate more excitement than Palin.

Palin wasn`t credible as a candidate for vice president, and she wasn`t believable as a political analyst. But I`m sure we haven`t seen the last of Palin on television, her opportunities are limitless. Palin can provide color commentary for wrestling matches, join the Jerry Springer show as a celebrity security guard, replace Nicki Minaj as an American Idol judge (she didn`t know anything about politics either), join the Housewives franchise (The hottest housewives from the coldest place in America: Alaska), or return to her first love, sports reporting.

I am so glad Palin is gone from Fox News, listen girlfriend you just couldn`t compete with hotties the likes of Megyn Kelly.
