Video! San Francisco's Fabulous Valentine's Day Pillow Fight!

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Valentine`s Day battle had feathers flying at the eighth annual "Great San Francisco Pillow Fight" Thursday evening.
Hundreds of participants armed with pillows filled Justin Herman Plaza at the foot of Market Street waiting for the Ferry Building clock to strike 6 p.m. to begin the fight."

After only 30 minutes of pitched battle, the plaza was covered in feathers, and clumps of synthetic pillow material. But at least it covered up the used c[o]ndoms, cigarette butts, needles, and other littler.

Cleaning up cost the city of San Francisco about $5,000, picking up feathers isn`t the easiest thing in the world.

But it was money well spent; children from two to 92 have a ball at the annual event. There is nothing more therapeutic than engaging in a pillow fight.

If the typical dude had a choice of paying $2.00 for watching 20 playmates in an all-girl or[g]y on pay-per-view or shelling out $20.00 to watch bikini-clad girls engaged in a pillow fight, he would pay the big bucks to enjoy the girls pillow fighting.

There is something magical about a pillow fight, every city, town and village in America should follow San Francisco`s example and stage their own pillow fight.
