Stop The Insanity! Lady Gets Hand Stuck In Glove Compartment, Calls 911

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A woman has called the fire brigade after her hand became stuck in the glove box of her car.

Firefighters arrived at the scene at 8.30pm yesterday evening (February 24) to rescue the 49-year old from the vehicle.

The woman had been trying to retrieve something from her car, which was parked outside her home in Stockport, when her wrist became jammed in the glove compartment and she was unable to remove her hand, reports The Mirror."

Why is the small storage compartment in a vehicle referred to as a "glove compartment?" Drivers keep guns, weed, condoms, cd`s, vehicle registration, owner`s manual, pepper spray, snacks, nail clippers, gum, make-up, maps, cigarettes, and cell phones in there, but almost never gloves.

How can a hand possible get stuck in a so-called "glove compartment?" I`ve driven dozens of cars in my life, but I have never seen a storage compartment small enough for a hand to get stuck in. This woman must have been wearing boxing gloves, or maybe she`s just a freak with abnormally large hands.

The firefighters freed the woman by first removing her wristwatch. In appreciation she should have given her watch to the firefighters and bought a dozen tickets for the firefighters` ball.
