Thank You 'America's Got Talent' Audience For Booing Mel B (Scary Spice)

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Rough start for Mel B, one of 2 new judges on `America`s Got Talent` -- she was loudly booed during the first day of taping for daring to diss brass music.

Mel was in New Orleans Monday, along with Howie Mandel, Howard Stern and Heidi Klum. The first act of the day was Lagniappe, a very popular New Orleans brass band.

Mel told the band ... she`s not a fan of brass music. Bad move in The Big Easy. The audience went nuts on her, screaming  `Go home,` and  `No respect.`"

In hindsight it would have made more sense to hire Mel B as a judge on "Britain`s Got Talent"; the former Spice Girl singer is clueless about American pop music.

To diss brass music in New Orleans is equivalent to screaming that Dolly Parton is buxom country tramp from the stage of the Grand Old Opry.

America`s got talent and America`s also got brass, the audience heaped abuse on Scary Spice after she dissed the popular New Orleans brass band.

It`s time to end the tradition that there has to be at least one British judge on "America`s Got Talent." Mel B is much too scary and much too British, the audience was spot on: Go home Mel B.
