Indian Kashmir Erupts Again

New Delhi: Following the killing of a youth in Kashmir by the army firing, curfew has been once again been imposed in Kashmir valley on Tuesday.

According to the reports, Tahir Sofi was killed when army opened fire on the group of people who were protesting against the ransacking of houses and damage to scores of vehicles parked in front of their houses which claimed the life of a 24 year old youth and left another injured in north Kashmir`s Baramulla district.

"The decision was taken at a high level meeting of police officers to impose the curfew all over as a precautionary measure fearing the law and order problem," a state government official, wishing anonymity, told theSOP by phone. 

Meanwhile, at least 10 policemen, and 5 Central Reserve Police Force personal were injured on Wednesday during the protest in the Valley. Jammu & Kashmir police had already registered a Fir against the Colonel Dalbinder Singh of the 46 Rashtriya Rifles for killing a 25-year old youth in North Kashmir`s Baramulla town on Wednesday.
