Mark Elswick Set to Speak about TBI in Texas

By SOP newswire

Motivational speaker and author Mark Elswick is all set to start his Spring 2013 tour, called "The Dream! Hope! Believe!". Starting with Arkadelphia, AR, on March 29th, the tour continues through the final week of April 2013 with Elswick speaking at a number of places in Texas including Austin, San Antonio, and Addison.

Mark Elswick, a 20-year severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) survivor, survived a month-long coma, two weeks of life support, death predictions, vegetative life predictions, re-learning to walk, talk, eat, etc., and more than 2 years of outpatient rehabilitation. He gradually and miraculously returned to a mostly "normal" life and published his book Padman: A Dad`s Guide to Buying... Those and Other Tales (Modern History Press, 2011). Mark`s journey from death`s doorstep-to-published author "available worldwide "delivers an inspirational message of triumph. Mark`s story touches all who hear it and leaves a lasting impression that dreams can come true!

"This book is about giving back to Traumatic Brain Injury research, patients, and treatment," writes Elswick. Answers and treatment plans for this quiet crippler often remain a mystery. "Considering the onslaught of TBI cases we are about to see with our returning troops, shouldn`t we better understand this injury and be more prepared?" He points out that, "A broken bone can heal over time. A cut scabs over and heals over time. A brain injury, traumatic or otherwise, can become psychologically, biologically, physically, emotionally, and even violently worse over time."

The presentations in the up and coming tour not only include much-needed awareness and facts regarding TBI and ABI (acquired brain injury) but they show that dreams really can come true, despite any adversity.
