"The veteran newsman (Tom Brokaw) was not very pleased when Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren decided to take the Mean Girls actress as her plus one to the White House Correspondents Dinner. Recently, he decided to go public with his irritation to Politico, telling the outlet Lohan ruined his time and made it very clear to everyone just how far the event has fallen."
Many celebs, including Katy Perry, have expressed outrage when Lindsay Lohan crashed their privateparties. LiLo is persona non grata at any Hollywood shindig. A Lilo appearance at a celeb bash may thrill the paparazzi, but it automatically downgrades the event.
A function that is ostensibly political, like the White House Correspondents Dinner, wants nothing to do with the likes of Lohan. Many of the attendees were horrified last year when Van Susteren brought LiLo to the prestigious event.
Tom Brokaw didn`t mince any words when he opined that troubled thespian had ruined the dinner. With Celebrity-in-Chief Barack Obama presiding over the festivities, maybe it`s time to stop pretending that the White House Correspondents Dinner is political in nature.
Lohan called Brokaw "mean" for singling her out, and she has a good point because the White House Correspondents Dinner is infested with Hollywood stars.
Even if Lilo flashed her goodies at the Correspondents Dinner, what the hell, it`s already a celebrity circus covered by the likes of People Magazine.
