Biker, 61, Cited For Riding At 130 MPH

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Police said a trooper pulled over Gregory Zaser, 61, of Medina, Wash., on U.S. 97, near Lapine, Ore., Monday when he was clocked riding his Ducati motorcycle at 130 mph in a 55 mph zone, The (Portland) Oregonian reported Tuesday.

Zaser, who was cited for speeding, told the trooper he was trying to test out the capabilities of the motorcycle, which he had just bought."

Zaser is too old to be having a midlife crisis; he`s having an end of life crisis. Zaser`s new hobby may indeed lead to an untimely death; he would be well-advised to trade in his Ducati motorcycle for a John Deere lawn mower.

Zaser got slapped with a $1,103 ticket --that`s the automatic fine for going more than 100 mph in Oregon. He`s lucky his license wasn`t suspended, and that his cellmate isn`t testing out the capabilities of his new (rhymes with witch.)

Let`s hope the hefty fine will serve as a wake-up call: Dude you are lucky you didn`t kill yourself or anybody else.
