"A 105-year-old Texas woman has earned a place in almost all headlines by revealing the most unlikely secret to her long life.

Strangely, her key to longevity is bacon. Yes, you read it right; 105-year-old Pearl Cantrell loves to eat bacon and feasts on it almost every day. Her story, for sure, will be a subject of research for most health scientists.

Pearl Cantrell, who`s mostly referred to as the `105-year-old bacon woman`, said in an interview with a local NBC station, "I love bacon and I eat it everyday. I don`t feel as old as I am, that`s all I can say.` "

When a centenarian celebrates her 100th birthday, the media usually asks her secret to her long life. Usually the super senior citizen will respond that she owes her long life to an alcohol-free lifestyle, a healthy diet and Jesus.

But who the heck wants to life a long time if you can`t drink, eat bacon and mess around? Thank goodness that Cantrell, without hesitation, declared "Bacon" when she was asked the secret to her long life.

Cantrell`s love for bacon caught the attention of Oscar Meyer, and they sent the Wienermoblie loaded with tons of bacon to her home.

I love all pork products, especially bacon. A breakfast isn`t breakfast without bacon, a salad isn`t a salad without bacon bits, and a hamburger isn`t a hamburger without a couple of slices of bacon.

If I were sentenced to death I would choose the following for my last meal: Two eggs, all the bacon I can eat, a nice cold beer, and ice cream topped off with bacon bits.

Happy birthday Pearl, enjoy your bacon!
