Homeowner, 70, Fights Off Burglar: Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Seventy-year-old Michael Salame has eight heart stents, nerve damage and apparently quite a right hook, as an alleged home invader found out.

"It was about 3 a.m. Saturday when Salame was at home with his girlfriend and heard something outside.

Salame said he was in no mood for visitors.

`He came in and that`s when I grabbed him by the throat and slammed him down on the floor and told him to stay on the floor and not to put his hands in his pockets.` "

When the elderly homeowner slammed the 24-year-old intruder on the floor, the young criminal begged for mercy. I only hope the young punk didn`t wet his drawers, leaving a nasty mess for Salame to clean.

This elderly gentleman puts many of us to shame: He`s got a mean right hook, stays out all night with his girlfriend, and doesn`t put up with any nonsense.

I applaud Salame for taking care of business, but you shouldn`t rely on a good right hook to fend off burglars. It`s a moral imperative for every homeowner to own a gun, and to learn how to use it properly.

This story has gone viral and once the jailbirds discover that this young hoodlum got his clock cleaned by a 70-year-old man, they will make life miserable for him behind bars.
