Dude's Arm Takes 6 Years To Heal, Breaks Day After Final Treatment
"A British man whose broken arm took six years to mend said he broke it again the day after his final treatment when he tripped over his dog.
Tim Blackburn, 50, of Stockton-on-Tees, England, said he busted his right arm when he fell off a ladder in 2007 and doctors had to remove 4 inches of bone and attach a metal scaffold around the arm."
The day after his final treatment Blackburn tripped over his pooch, tumbled down stairs, and shattered his arm.
Blackburn said: If I didn`t laugh about all of it, I`d cry. Blackburn seems to be in good spirits in spite of his incredible bad luck.
Would you blame god or the dog?
Dog is man`s best friend, and it wouldn`t make much sense for Blackburn to take out his frustrations on his four-legged friend. Blackburn is facing months, if not years, of healing and physical therapy, he will need his pooch by his side.
Religious folks are always praising God for saving them from calamities, but they never blame Him when something awful happens to them. It would be refreshing if this hapless fellow told the press: Job`s friends had it right; I should curse God and die.
But turning your back on your belief system, whatever it may be, when things go really bad, will render you helpless and desperate.
I`m not a theologian or a poet; don`t expect soothing platitudes or inspiring words from me: Crap happens my friend, just hold on tight to your loved ones, including your pets.
