Shorts Banned: Male Train Drivers Switch To Skirts In Summer

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Some engineers on a commuter rail line in Stockholm, Sweden, have taken to wearing skirts following a management ban on switching to shorts in the summer.

A company spokesman said banning male engineers from wearing skirts would be discrimination."

Public Enemy

Train engineers, like fire fighters, construction workers and cops have a macho reputation. I applaud these macho dudes for fighting the silly rule banning shorts, and donning skirts. This is truly a case where real men wear skirts.

If I worked in a train cab, where the temperature can hit 95 degrees, I would wear a skirt. Not a stuffy kilt mind you, but a silk mini-skirt that would let my legs breathe.

If the CEO of the commuter rail line spent just one day working in a train cab, I guarantee that male and female employees would be allowed to wear shorts in the summer.
