"Chris Kreis, 19, was fishing with his family off the coast of Captiva, Fla., when they saw a 30-foot, 50,000-pound whale shark swim past the boat. Since whale sharks are gentle creatures, Kreis decided to go for a swim.
I decided, you know what, maybe I should go try and swim with him. I might not be able to do it ever again, " Kreis told ABC News on Monday."
If I was on a boat and I saw a whale shark, my first impulse wouldn`t be, "Wow, it would be real cool to jump on the back of the shark and go for a ride."
I would quickly grab my camera and film the majestic gentle creature, and post the video on YouTube for the edification and enjoyment of wildlife lovers.
A man riding a whale shark isn`t an amazement feat of courage; it`s a deplorable act of animal cruelty. Kreis was encouraged by his friends on the boat with cries of "Awesome Chris." You freakin` morons, animal cruelty is never awesome.
Kreis isn`t worthy of any attention from the media, any media outlet that interviews him should be boycotted by PETA.
