Building Industry Making Changes to Meet The Needs of The People

Building Industry Making Changes to Meet The Needs of The People

By Judyth Piazza CEO (Editor)

Adam Bakir, General Manager of Incredible Renovations, LLC, Houston attended The Texas Association of Builders Board of Directors summer meetings and The Sunbelt Builders Show in San Antonio, Texas last week.

Bakir is a life member of the board of directors and is proud to be a part of the organization. Over the years, Bakir has learned how important it is to continue education and stay on top of the building industry changes.

Founded in 1946, the Texas Association of Builders has been dedicated to creating a positive and helpful business environment for the housing industry by addressing the housing issues of the residents of Texas. Every year, more than 2,500 leaders in residential and multifamily housing, remodeling, finance and management come together to share the latest information, exchange ideas, and foster lasting personal and professional relationships.

"This summer we discussed some of the most important things happening in the building industry such as remodeling demands and the awareness of green energy," said Bakir.

Some of the most important issues covered this summer:

  •         More demand for remodeling to match lifestyle changes
  •         Foundation issues
  •         Legislative updates
  •         New building codes and rules
  •         Changes and additions to building contracts
  •         Need to incorporate younger professional groups
  •         New awareness of green energy and sensible energy efficiency standards

"The industry is changing so quickly that there may not be enough trained people to handle the new changes and codes to meet the needs of the people," Bakir said.

The Conference and Trade Show offered a forward-thinking and fresh look at the construction industry, design, new products and the latest in lifestyle trends.  One new product debuted this summer was the Mitsubishi mini split A/C unit.

The Mitsubishi air conditioner units incorporate eco-comfort technology, dual and triple-allergen filtration, and are whisper-quiet. The eco-comfort technology makes these Mitsubishi air conditioner ductless systems smarter in how they use energy and minimizes their impact on the environment. These ductless air systems have advanced multi-stage filtration systems that dramatically reduce allergens and help eliminate odors as well.

"With more and more people energy efficient conscious, I look forward to telling our clients at Incredible Renovations about the Mitsubishi mini split," said Bakir.

Texas Association of Builders Fall Board Meeting will be held November 20-21, 2013 at the Driskill Hotel in Austin Texas.

"TAB is an affiliate of the National Association of Home Builders and has 28 local home builders associations and nearly 10,000 members across the state of Texas. Representing over 400,000 jobs and more than $22 billion in the Texas economy, the state and local associations play a crucial role in providing housing for Texans."

"The Sunbelt Builders Show™ is one of the largest building industry events in North America and is wholly owned and operated by the Texas Association of Builders."
