Dude Catches 200-Year-Old Rockfish: Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A record-breaking shortraker was hauled in near Sitka, Alaska last week.

Not only did Henry Liebman`s catch beat the record for a shortraker caught on sportfishing gear with his 39.08-pound Rockfish, but a fishery expert is claiming he might`ve also broken the records for the oldest fish ever caught."

An official with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game said the fish might be around 200 years old. Samples of the huge fish have been sent to a lab in Juneau to more accurately determine its age.

I bet Henry bragged to all of his friends that he caught a huge Rockfish, but I doubt that he mentioned that it`s the oldest Rockfish ever caught.

A 90-year old man in a wheelchair, who has never gone fishing in his life, would probably be able to reel in a fish that`s two centuries old.

Congratulations Henry you old rebrobate, you get to enjoy a few moments of joy while snuffing the life out of a creature that`s been around for 200 years.
