Seattle Bans 'Racist' Terms 'Brown Bag' And 'Citizen': Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Sorry Seattle residents, but citizens are no longer allowed to brown bag it, because city officials have decided that the words `citizen` and  brown bag` are offensive. The Office for Civil Rights has circulated a memo encouraging government employees to stop using those terms. Memo author Elliott Bronstein suggests using  residents, sack lunch orr  lunch and learn`instead."

Senseless in Seattle...

Yet another example of political-correctness run amok.

If you polled 1,000 African-Americans not a single one would take offense at the term "brown bag." Allegedly, during the worst years of segregation, a brown bag was used to determine if a person`s skin color was light enough to allow him admission to a public event. Only a history professor, with a major in American race relations, would be aware of the alternate meaning of this term.

Ugly folks, not blacks, should take offense at the term "brown bag." How many times have you heard a person say, "Girlfriend is so ugly she should put a brown bag over her head?"

Elliot Bronstein`s politically-correct tomfoolery has made him such a reviled figure, that he would be well-advised to wear a brown bag over his head so he won`t be recognized by the outraged citizens of Seattle.
