Mark 'Black Cat Appreciation Day' By Adopting Black Cat: Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Today is designated as National Black Cat Appreciation Day. It is a tribute "if you wil to any solid black domestic cat of pure or mixed breed pedigree, and, perhaps, some of their wild feline cousins.

The awareness and appreciation day is, in part, intended to help dispel age-old superstitions concerning black cats. Hopes are that the celebration will popularize these single-colored felids among the demographic of cat owners, potential owners, and foster parents in the United States. This is all in light of legendary myths that have led to the demise of black cats for centuries."

National Geographic

Black folks have come a long way in America, even our president is black, but they still face a lot of discrimination.

However, black cats fare even worse than black people. Many ignorant people think black cats are at the very least bad luck, and at the very worst the devil`s familiars.

Black cats like all felines are mysterious and mischievous, but they aren`t evil. I have a black pussy cat that is completely black except for an on inch patch of white fur on her chest, and she`s the sweetest ball of fur in the world.

Honor National Black Cat Appreciation Day by adopting a black kitten from your local animal shelter. Your luck will change for the better, and you will have a sweet companion for many years.
