Russian Couple Agrees To Pay Fine After Pet Cat Is Kidnapped: Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Russian couple agreed to pay a civil fine for property damage but only after marshals seized their pet cat and threatened to sell it, court officials say.

The couple, who live in Kemerovo in Siberia, owe 45,000 rubles ($1,350) in restitution for damaging their neighbors` property during a flood at their home. On the court website, marshals said the couple finally agreed to pay up when their cat, a Sphynx, was seized."

I love cats and there`s never been a time in my adult life when I didn`t own at least two, but I can`t stand Sphynx cats. This feline breed doesn`t have any hair; they look a pet Satan would own.

Russia is owned and operated by organized crime, from the Kremlin in Moscow to a two-bit village in Siberia. It shouldn`t be surprising that marshals in a Siberian town convinced a couple to pay a fine by kidnapping their pet cat. Slight exaggeration, no nasty emails please

Let`s hope that the poor cat survived his ordeal without permanent psychological damage.
