Bus Stop Dancing Queen, Ellie Cole, Makes Stage Debut: Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"She`s a dancing queen, alright, and soon she`ll be getting paid for it.

When passerby Jane Rowland secretly filmed Ellie Cole, a woman dancing at a bus stop, in April of this year, both women were shocked by how quickly the video became an Internet sensation. At the time, no one knew anything about the mystery dancer, save for her sweet moves, of course.

Five months later, the video has landed Cole a role in a play at The Point Theatre in her hometown of Eastleigh, England. Per the Telegraph, the 35-year-old studied performing arts in college before dropping out because she couldn`t afford it."

Ellie Cole is an average-looking, overweight, frumpily dressed working stiff. I wouldn`t have graced her with a second glance, but a passerby secretly filmed her as she killed time dancing while she waited for her bus.

Apparently she has a dead-end job that doesn`t afford her the luxury of keeping up with the latest fashion styles, and owning a car is simply out of the question.

But her dream of being a performing artist never died, and it was as natural as breathing for her to bust a move while waiting for her bus.

Cole is not a Miley Cyrus type exhibitionist, she probably wasn`t even aware she was dancing in public. Girlfriend couldn`t help but move while listening to Alesha Dixon`s "Knock Down."

The video of Cole dancing has been viewed by over a million people, including playwright Lynne Paris who offered her a spot in the chorus line of the musical "Ah Men."

Moral of this story: Never give up your dream, just keep dancing baby.
