Outrage: CNN's Celebrity Chef Anthony Bourdain Insults World Famous Frito Pie: Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"TV chef Anthony Bourdain apologized for saying a popular New Mexico store used canned chili for its Frito pies.

Bourdain repeatedly insulted the world famous Frito pies at a Five and Dime store in downtown Santa Fe during a CNN special aired Monday, KRQE-TV, Albuquerque, reported Tuesday.

`It feels like you`re holding warm crap in a bag,` Bourdain said in the special."

Anthony Bourdain is the host of "Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown", the celebrity chef travels all over the world eating and gushing over exotic meals that would make the average American retch.

But when Bourdain hosts a show from New Mexico, he insults the Five and Dime store`s world famous Frito pies.

Frito pies aren`t actually pies, and they don`t contain canned chili. They may feel you`re holding wrap crap in a bag, but if you hold a gourmet dish prepared by a fancy chef in your hands, it might also feel like warm crap.

Frito Pie: a single-serving open bag of Fritos corn chips, with homemade chili poured over the top. The delicious snack is topped off with grated cheese, onions and sour cream.

Shame on Anthony Bourdain for besmirching the reputation of the United States, New Mexico, Santa Fe, The Five and Dime store, and Frito pies.
