Outrage: 300-Pound Probation Officer Shoots 12-Pound Dog: Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A probation officer in Southwest Georgia fatally shot a woman`s 12-pound dog while on a routine visit Monday, an act the dog`s owner claimed was unnecessary.

Cherrie Shelton`s dog Patches, a two-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, approached officer Antoine Jones as he arrived at her home, she told FOX 31 in Albany. Before Shelton, of Albany, could finish telling the officer the dog wouldn`t bite, he had pulled out his gun and shot the dog."

A Jack Russell Terrier is one of those small breeds that is all bark and no bite. Shelton`s tiny pooch wouldn`t pose a threat to a mailman, a Jehovah`s Witness, and certainly not to a police officer, who is psychologically trained to deal with sociopaths and psychopaths without resorting to violence.

Probation officer Antoine Jones who tips the scales at over 300 pounds and is an imposing six feet tall found it necessary to use lethal force against a 12-pound pooch.

The cowardly officer said he gave the dog verbal commands to back off, but the  pooch continued to come towards him in an aggressive manner so he fired one shot at him.

If the huge cop has stomped his feet, the earth would have shook, and the minuscule doggie would have scampered away.

Anyone on probation in Southwest Georgia would be well-advised to hide their kittens, puppies and hamsters  when this obese coward makes a visit.

The Georgia Department of Corrections issued a statement saying Jones was justified in shooting the poor defenseless animal.

PETA should dog this cowardly and reprehensible probation officer until he resigns in disgrace.

RIP Patches!
