Pit Bull Saves Kitty From Coyotes: Video

By Robert Paul Reyes

"They were brought together by second chances; now Kitty has a third, thanks to Jack.

`He probably feels like he`s the caretaker.  He checks on her every day and sniffs her, seeing what kind of shape she is in,` said Sherree Lewis.

The two are family pets, and both were rescues. Sherree watches over her son Peter`s dog while Peter is deployed in Afghanistan. She never imagined Jack would become the family`s second hero."

Most families would be honored to have one hero, but there are two  heroes in Sherree Lewis` family, her son Peter who is deployed in Afghanistan and her son`s pooch, whom she is taking care of, who saved the family cat from the clutches of coyotes.

Two coyotes had Kitty and were shaking her violently, but Jack came to the rescue and fought off the wild beasts.

Kitty has a broken tooth and is being treated for brain swelling, but she`s lucky to be alive, and no doubt she`s used up most of her nine lives.

Pit bulls get a bum rap, because a few of them are raised to fight by sick individuals. But when pit bulls are brought up in a loving home, they make the best pets in the world.

Don`t hesitate to adopt a pit bull from your local animal shelter, you would be hard pressed to find a more loyal, brave, and loving pet.
