'Bigfoot Hunt' Ends Up With Joker Getting Shot

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Lying to the police is never a good idea, but three individuals in Oklahoma took it to a whole new level of stupidity when they began telling tales about Bigfoot " and wound up in jail as a result.

Omar Pineda and Joseph Smalley were in the woods in Rogers County on Saturday when 21-year-old Pineda got spooked and fired his gun, hitting Smalley in the back, according to KFOR. The men apparently walked to a nearby QuikTrip to call 911. When police arrived, the men explained they had been hunting Bigfoot, a story that officers immediately suspected was false."

Red Alert Politics

It`s never a good idea to lie to the cops, especially when your cover story is that you were hunting Bigfoot.

Nothing will ruin your credibility with the cops, or with the general public, quicker than claiming to have seen a UFO or Bigfoot.

Their story would have been more believable it they claimed that they stumbled onto Miley Cyrus twerking in the woods, and they were so spooked that they started shooting at each other.

Pineda was arrested for reckless conduct with a firearm and obstructing an officer, and Pineda`s wife was also arrested for obstructing an officer.

If these clowns had simply told the truth, and not brought Bigfoot into the picture, they may have got away with just a slap on the wrist.

Moral of this tale: Whenever you mention Bigfoot, you`re just putting your big foot in your mouth.
