Doorknobs Banned In Vancouver! Is Everybody In Canada Smoking Crack? Video!

"Vancouver is just months away from becoming the first Canadian city where doorknobs are banned in new housing construction.


The city approved changes to its building code in September outlawing doorknobs in favor of levers. Also on the way out are faucets with knob-like handles. The changes take effect in March, with existing homes grandfathered in."


Common sense and doorknobs are as dead as a doorknob in Vancouver.

The patently ridiculous change is aimed at making it easier for arthritic or enfeebled folks to open doors.

I can (perhaps) understand public buildings being ordered to have levers instead of doorknobs, but a man`s home in American and Canada is his castle, and how dare a spineless bureaucrat tell me I can`t have doorknobs in my home.

The mayor and city leaders of Vancouver must be smoking crack like Rob Ford, the mayor of Toronto.
